Entry to all venues is complimentary except for

You can purchase the Entry Pass which entitles you entry to all four venues stated above.


Entry Passes
There are two types of Entry Passes that you can purchase:

Single Entry Pass: S$5
This entitles you to a one-time entry to all of the four venues above. (You need not visit all four venues within a single day, e.g. you may visit Tanglin Camp on one day, National Museum and City Hall on another, and Singapore Art Museum on yet another day. However, you can only enter each venue once.)

Unlimited Entry Package Pass: S$25
This non-transferable pass entitles you to unlimited entries to the four venues above. The Unlimited Entry Package Pass comes with a copy of the Exhibition Short Guide.

Free Admission
• Free admission to the Biennale on Fridays from 6pm to 9pm
• Free entry for children under 12 and senior citizens (65 & above)

Where to buy Entry Passes
The Entry Passes are available at the Information Centre (SMU), City Hall, National Museum, and Tanglin Camp.

Exhibition Short Guide Exhibition Short Guide

Exhibition Short Guide The Short Guide is a 281-page full-colour book containing essential information on the Singapore Biennale, such as venues descriptions and exhibition details. Its main section features texts written by international and local curators and critics, introducing all 95 artists and collectives and their artworks for the Biennale. Featuring design by WORK Advertising and Agathe de Bailliencourt, the Short Guide retails at S$10 each.

The Short Guides are available at the Information Centre (SMU), City Hall, National Museum, and Tanglin Camp.

Free shuttle bus services are available for the period of the Singapore Biennale. The buses serve two routes:

2. Waterloo Loop

Guided Tours Guided Tours

• On-site Tours

As part of the Singapore Biennale 2006 education and outreach programme, On-Site Tours are conducted at City Hall and Tanglin Camp. Visitors who join in these tours will gain a better understanding of the artworks, artists, and how the artworks relate to the theme of BELIEF.

Duration: Each tour lasts approximately 1 to 1.5 hours with a tour guide to bring visitors around City Hall and Tanglin Camp.

Language(s) Available: Tours are conducted in three languages - English, Japanese and Mandarin, at various times.

Where: There is a gathering point at both locations. Please approach the on-site staff for the location of the gathering points.

• Walking Art Trail Tours

Walking Art Trail Tours take visitors to the Waterloo area and the Singapore River, including various SB2006 venues where artworks are located. Apart from the various artworks located around the Waterloo and Singapore River areas, visitors are introduced to the rich history and heritage of these areas during the tours.

Duration: each Each tour lasts approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. There are three different routes, and each route brings visitors to different locations.

Language(s) Available: All the tours are conducted in English

Where: The gathering point of the tours is at the Singapore Biennale Information Centre at Singapore Management University.

How Much: FREE

As the tours include visits to various religious sites, visitors are advised to be appropriately dressed.

School Visits School Visits

School groups of 20 or more are required to pre-register at least 15 days before the scheduled visit. A minimum of 15 days notice is required to secure the services of a guide.

Walk the Talk Audio Guide Walk the Talk Audio Guide

Between September 1 and November 12, dial 6758-4155 from any phone and you will be connected to WALK THE TALK™, the interactive audio guide of SB2006. After dialing, enter the 3-digit code below the icon to hear more about the artworks. Access is free and available 24 hours a day, though standard charges of making a local call do apply.

Accessibility Info Accessibility Info

The information provided below is meant for visitors with physical challenges, including wheelchair users. It may also be helpful to parents with pushchairs and prams.

SMU
To access the info counter, internet cafe and merchandise shop: If you are facing the info counter, there is a ramp to the right of the pavilion. To access DRIK Picture Library Ltd. works in the basement, please get the Customer Relations Officer at the info counter to assist you.

All works are accessible.


City Hall
If unaccompanied by an able-bodied person: If you are facing the City Hall main entrance steps, turn left and access the lane joining St. Andrews Road and Old Supreme Court Lane. Approach a security officer at the side entrance for assistance. (They should contact one of our staff to accompany you into the building.)

If accompanied by an able-bodied person: Enter the main entrance at City Hall and request for a Customer Relations Officer to assist you. They will show you to the side entrance.

Some areas of the gallery may be inaccessible without assistance, so we recommend that you bring someone to assist you.


Tanglin Camp
Follow the driveway up to the main gate. Alert a security officer or Customer Relations Officer for assistance to open the gate.

This site is not easily accessible so we would recommend you bring someone to assist you. Some works may be inaccessible without assistance by an able-bodied person. Works on the upper floor and several peripheral buildings are accessible only by stairs. This site also has uneven surfaces and several trip hazards.


National Museum
If you are facing the main entrance to National Museum, turn right and enter the building through the side entrance. Alert a security officer or museum staff to direct you to the lifts and go down to basement level. Works on the 2nd level are accessible by the same lift.

All works are accessible.
